All of our rock separators are manufactured using 95% stainless steel materials to prevent any food poisoning that could be caused by rust or paint. The machines’ outside lubrication system not only makes maintenance easier but significantly reduces overall maintenance time and risk of injury. Our rock separators are designed to your specifications and to meet all of your requirements.

| The design of the machine has evolved through many years of testing at various different processing centers. This improvement process has resulted in a line of exceptionally reliable machines.
Our custom accessories such as the special flute direction of jet water and the discharge system of impurities, improves the overall quality of work and minimizes loss of time that is associated with cleaning the machine.
Each of our rock separators can be custom built to fit your existing equipment line.

Operation
From the outside, the look of our rock separator seems quite simple, although upon further inspection of the interior tank, it looks much more complex. The main function of this machine is to separate the potatoes from the waste.
First, potatoes are added to the center of the rock separator via an adjacient conveyor. Then using a continuous flow of water created by a turbine combined with the buoyancy of the potatoes, they float through the machine until they reach the stainless steel conveyor.
The remaining waste (rocks, soil, rotten potatoes, etc..) are re-routed onto a seperate conveyor that brings them back to the left of the machine to drop down onto a system of scrapers at the bottom of the tank and then eventually moving to the outside.
A bidirectional system flute was designed to facilitate the flotation process of the potatoes and to improve the machines overall performance.

| Final Process
Finally, when the potatoes are free from any dirt, rock or other waste residue, they will be sent to a polishing brush to be washed and / or peeled using interchangeable brushes.
* Some rock separators can be made with 100% stainless if requested.
